CHRISTMAS!
Yay!!
We woke up bright and early the day after Thanskgiving. Actually, let me rephrase. The big kids woke up bright and early the day after Thanksgiving. They were beyond excited to begin decorating for Christmas. Luckily, their excitement was contagious...and so out of bed we got.
While Emmy Doe was contained in her high chair enjoying breakfast, Ben and the biggies moved boxes out of the attic and down the stairs. Much like last year, the Rudolph and Clarice "Build-a-Bear" dolls were the most anticipated items to be pulled out of the boxes.
We got the living room tree set up first. Ben hung the honorary first ornament and then begin working on the tree in our front hallway while the kids and me dug out the rest of the ornaments.
We had a blast getting everything ready (including the Christmas china!) and were pleasantly suprised by Doe's reaction to it all: interested, but not enough to really "mess" with anything.
I tried to take a few pictures of the kids once everything was finished. I laugh out loud every time I look at these.
We finished up all the indoor decorating in time for a late lunch at Johnny's. And yes, we took everybody in their pajamas. It was awesome.
Ben finished up the outdoor lights over the weekend. We've been in full-out celebration mode ever since.
It's the most wonderful time of the year!
