After-School Special.
My sweet, sweet Hadley has so far exceeded my expectations as a big sister. She is loving and attentive to Emmy and quite frequently tells me, "I'm a very loving, girl, Mommy." She is! If I'm honest, I have to admit that I was expecting a quite a bit of jealousy and drama from my girl, but we've had very, very little of that. She rushes in, whether from Ms. Ginnell's, out with Ben, or simply from her bedroom, washes her hands, and scoops her arms around that little bitty baby as often as she can.
I love her heart. And her stubbornness.
And I love her as a big sister.

Chick-fil-A.
In case you didn't know, my family eats at Chick-fil-A every Tuesday night. Without fail. For the last 13 years.
It's a crazy tradition, I know. But then again, most of ours are.
Anyway, Emmy made her official Chick-fil-A debut last night. She pretty much slept through the entire dinner.
Harris and Hadley were soooo excited for Emmy to make the trip. Dinner at Chick-fil-A actually marks our first outing as a family of five as well!
Welcome to the chaos, Emmy! As your Daddy jokingly told you when you were born, "the best 9 months of your life are over, little girl."
And while we all know that's not true, the most peaceful 9 months of your life have certainly come and gone!

Play Ball!
Harris has been participating in the PlayBall program this year at Primrose. Through this extracurricular activity, he has the opportunity to practice different athletic skills while at the same time working on things like teamwork and cooperation.
He LOVES PlayBall and says they do really "tough stuff" there. According to the weekly emails I receive, the kiddos learn skills like the volleyball spike, dribbling, passing a hockey puck, and kicking a soccer ball all while playing games.
Yesterday, Harry received his mid-year evaluation (which was awesome!) and a medal for all his hard work.
There's nothing quite like seeing your kiddo take pride in his accomplishments.
You rock, sweet boy!

Doc.
Homegirl had her one-week check-up yesterday. After dropping down to 6 lbs 12 oz in the hospital, I'm happy to report that she's now heavier than her birth weight, weighing in at a whopping 7 lbs 4 oz.
She received a glowing health report! She's eating well (and is by far the best nurser out of all my babies!) and is waking up right on schedule (every 2-3 hours) to satsify her appetite. I'll be thankful once we've lengthened that sleep time just a little bit, but for now I'm doing my best to soak up every ounce of her little bitty self.
Just when I think I couldn't possibly love another kid the way I love Harris and Hadley, in comes Emmy and steals my heart all over again.
Keep up the growing, baby girl.

First Semi-Bath.
1. Who knew you're no longer supposed to put alochol on the belly button? Because you're not.
2. Emmy had her first semi-bath on Saturday night. She had quite a crowd.
3. Granti got her all ready.
4. And Ben was a pro with the actual bathing.

5. I got to have the first post-bath snuggle. :)
6. Clean babies make me smile.
Welcome Home, Emmy!
Harris, Hadley, and Granti were well prepared for our arrival home. Ben and I made it back to the house just a few minutes before Granti brought everyone home from school. We spent the afternoon holding, hugging, snuggling, and loving on Emmy, eating a delicious dinner made by Granti, begging Granti to stay with us through the weekend (didn't take much!), and, in our very tired state, thanking God for the blessings He has poured out on our family.
Seriously. All three belong to me. :)
